Simple answer

Ends December 15, 2026.

That is the CMS final rule date for HealthCare.gov states. HealthCare.gov's dates page still lists January 15.

Dates

Open enrollment for 2027 coverage on HealthCare.gov ends December 15, 2026. The CMS final rule sets the federal platform at November 1 through December 15. Coverage selected by that date can start January 1 if the first premium is paid.

HealthCare.gov's dates page still lists January 15. Last checked October 16, 2026.

A state exchange can publish its own end date. The same rule says a state exchange must end by December 31.

What is changing for 2027

Premiums. We did not find a 2027 premium table for your state. The June 20, 2025 CMS release says the final rule will lower individual premiums by about 5 percent on average, and save taxpayers up to $12 billion in 2026. That is the agency's estimate for the rule, not the price of a plan. Compare plans on the exchange.

Savings. HealthCare.gov says that starting January 1, 2027, lower monthly premiums and extra savings are limited to a Lawful Permanent Resident (green card holder), a Cuban or Haitian entrant, or a Compact of Free Association migrant, if income qualifies. Other lawfully present statuses may still buy a plan and pay full price. The CMS plan year 2027 guidance says the same limit on advance premium tax credits and cost-sharing reductions. HealthCare.gov also says Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals recipients are not eligible for Marketplace coverage. The June 20, 2025 CMS rule says HHS reinstated that exclusion.

We do not ask for an immigration status, a Social Security number, or income on this page.

Free local help

HealthCare.gov has a finder for an assister, agent, or broker. Help should be free. A person who charges a fee to enroll you is not the Marketplace. We do not list names or phone numbers of local offices.
