Do SNAP work requirements apply to me?

Simple answer

Ages 18 through 64 can face the 3-month SNAP time limit, unless an exception fits.

This follows the FNS memo dated October 3, 2025. The public USDA page still shows older ages. We say so on purpose.

Are you responsible for a child under 14 in the SNAP home?
Are you pregnant?
Are you unable to work because of a physical or mental limit?
Do you already work or train about 80 hours a month?
Do you work 30 hours a week, go to school at least half time, join a treatment program, care for a child under 6, or meet another program's work rule?
Do you meet the Indian, Urban Indian, or California Indian definition in the October 2025 memo?

Simple answer

Type an age to see the rule.

The time-limit age comes from the October 3, 2025 FNS memo: 18 through 64.

How many hours?

If the time limit applies, the public USDA page says 80 hours a month.

How to report

Tell the SNAP office. USDA does not publish one national form. Use the phone number on your letter, or the state directory. Do not send a card number or a PIN.

This quiz stays on this page. It can include health and family details, so we do not save the answers. It is not an application and it is not a decision.
